Organizations We Support
Blood Drive with Canadian Blood Services
Our team believes in supporting causes that have immediate and life-changing impact. That’s why we partnered with Canadian Blood Services to organize a Raintree-wide blood drive. Team members, family, and friends rolled up their sleeves to contribute, reminding us that sometimes the simplest actions, like giving blood, make the biggest difference.
International Women’s Day Women + Wealth Galas
In 2016, Raintree hosted the very first Women + Wealth Gala in Edmonton as a way to spark conversations about women, money, and leadership, and address the gender gap in the financial services industry. What began as a single event has grown into an annual celebration in both Edmonton and Calgary — drawing hundreds of attendees each year.
Today, the Women + Wealth Gala is its own independent not-for-profit raises funds for women-focused charities (most recently, Alberta Women’s Health) and provides a platform for stories, mentorship, and inspiration. We are proud to continue supporting Women + Wealth as it amplifies voices and creates space for equity and empowerment. Raintree remains the presenting sponsor, and Peter Kinkaide sits on the Board of Directors.
Humber River Health Foundation
Our President, Jay Bhutani, currently sits as Chair of the board of Directors for Humber River Health Foundation. Jay leads the Humber River Foundation Board of Directors in supporting Humber River Health’s mission to deliver exceptional, innovative healthcare to our community. He helps set the Foundation’s strategy, oversees fundraising efforts, and ensures strong governance, while also working closely with donors, partners, and community leaders to raise the resources needed to fund advanced technology, programs, and patient care.
The Mustard Seed
The holidays should be a time of joy and connection, yet for many families it can be a season of hardship. Each year, Raintree partners with The Mustard Seed’s Family Gift Centre program, collecting toys and gifts that parents can choose for their children at a reduced cost. This initiative not only supports families in need but also restores dignity by allowing parents to be the ones placing gifts under the tree.
